This is a Georgian, English, multi spiral air twist wine glass dating from the middle of the 18th century, c1750. The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot commensurate with some 250 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot. The glass has a bell-shaped bowl measuring 6.8 cm (2.7 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl is plain and sits on a multi spiral air twist stem with a shoulder knop, the air twist reaching up into the base of the bowl. The stem ends in a conical foot which measures 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter. The glass is 17.7 cm (7.1 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. English lead glass weighing in at 195 g. (~ 7 oz.). Quote item: 9145 Please note: 1.
